Materials

  • 2 ripe but firm Avocados
  • 1 medium Onion finely chopped
  • ½ Red tomato
  • 2 tbsp Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped
  • 1 Green chilli optional
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder secret ingredient
  • Salt per taste

Instructions

  • Firstly, cut the ripe avocados into halves and with the help of a spoon or knife, remove the seed.
  • Then, with the help of a spoon or spatula scoop out the flesh of avocados and place it in the mixing bowl. Discard the browned or bruised part. 
  • Mash the avocados with the potato masher or with the fork. Mash till it turns creamy in texture and stop mashing when you see small chunks left. It gives a nice grainy texture.
  • Then, add finely chopped onion, tomatoes, coriander leaves and deseeded green chillies.
  • Also, add the freshly squeezed lemon juice.
  • Lastly, add salt as per taste and 1 tsp coriander powder. Coriander powder adds a nice flavour and enhances the taste of guacamole.
  • Finally, give it a nice stir till all the ingredients are combined well.
  • Serve, fresh and homemade Guacamole with tortillas, chips or as a spread on bread to make a toast.
