Veg masala maggi is the most popular and instant snack recipe enjoyed by all age group people. Kids are the huge fan of the maggi recipes may it be simple maggi or cheese maggi or veg maggi. It tastes delicious in whichever manner it is cooked.

The delicious maggi breakfast recipe can be prepared in various ways, but in this post, I am sharing the Mumbai street style veg masala maggi. Masala maggi cooked with colourful vegetables like bell peppers, french beans, green peas, tomatoes, and onions tastes very yummy and tempting.

Veg masala maggi is widely accepted snacks recipe in India. Along with lots of veggies, maggi masala tastemaker adds a delicious and mouth-watering taste to the dish. Veg masala maggi cooked in Indian style is not only loved by kids but also by adults, youngsters, bachelors who live alone away from there family, working couples and also by parents.

Typically, it is enjoyed in the evening as a tea-time snack or you can say late office hours. But, it can be had as a whole meal at lunch or dinner. Nowadays, you can also find many variations of using cooked maggi like maggi samosa, maggi sandwich, maggi dosa, and many more. If you are a maggi lover, no doubt you will love maggi in all variations and in any form.

There are many variations for making innovative recipes using cooked maggi. One such recipe that is famous in the European countries is the Vega burger from smullers. So, I have tried out this recipe with maggi and it turned out awesome. For making this burger, I have frozen the cooked maggi in pattice shape and later shallow fried it on the tawa or skillet. After this just put the maggi in the pav with sliced vegetables and chutney. And the delicious maggi burger is ready.

Materials

  • 2 Single packet maggi
  • 2 sachets of Maggi masala tastemaker
  • 1 tsp Rai/ Mustard seeds
  • Few cloves of Garlic finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp Cooking oil
  • 2 medium Onions finely chopped
  • ½ Red/ Yellow/ Orange Bell pepper finely chopped
  • ½ cup French beans finely chopped
  • 1 medium Red tomato finely chopped
  • ½ cup Fresh green peas
  • ½ tsp Haldi/ Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Lal mirch powder/ Red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • Salt per taste
  • 1 tbsp Tomato ketchup
  • 1 tsp Soya sauce
  • 2 cup water
  • Pinch of chat masala

Instructions

For making Veg masala maggi:

  • Heat the oil in a pan or kadhai on a medium-low flame and add a tsp of rai, saute till it splutters.
  • Add chopped garlic cloves in the kadhai and saute for half a minute. 
  • Now, add finely chopped onions and stir it till it turns golden brown in colour and looks translucent.
  • Add finely chopped bell pepper (I have used half orange bell pepper) and saute it for few seconds.
  • Add finely chopped french beans in the kadhai and saute it again for some time.
  • Add fresh green peas in the kadhai and saute it till peas get cooked and turn soft. 
  • Add finely chopped tomatoes in the kadhai and saute it till tomatoes are cooked.
  • Add haldi, red chilli powder, garam masala and salt as per taste in the kadhai.
  • Mix all the ingredients nicely and sprinkle some tbsp of water in the kadhai and cook the dry spices for few minutes.
  • After 2 minutes, add tomato ketchup.
  • Now, add soya sauce and water in the kadhai, give it a nice mix.
  • Cook till the water boils, then add maggi masala tastemaker into the pan.
  • Simmer on low flame for few minutes and then break and add the maggi noddles.
  • Cook the maggi noddles for few minutes until it absorbs water and becomes soft and fluffy.
  • Finally, add chat masala into the kadhai and stir it nicely.
  • Hot and tasty veg masala maggi is ready to be served.

Important tips for making perfect maggi:

  1. Consume the cooked maggi when it is hot or warm, 
  2. It is not recommended to consume cooled maggi, as it would taste like stale maida roll after it loses its moisture.
  3. You can use any noodles of your choice may it be maggi, yippee, or ramen noodles.
  4. Add vegetables of your choice and make it even tastier and healthier.
  5. Avoid consuming maggi on daily basis, in the long run, it may cause digestion problem or would lead to bloating.
